Lake County Fair Arrives For 102nd Time!

The midway has been constructed, the show barns have been prepped, and the Lake County Fairgrounds are once again ready to welcome thousands of visitors.  The 102nd Lake County opens this Thursday, April 6, for a ten-day run that will feature live entertainment, youth livestock shows, creative arts competitions, 4H displays, and much much more.
“The Lake County Fair brings you back to a simpler time and place in America, where family friends, and community gather once a year to reconnect and celebrate,” said fair manager Stacey Wade leading up the event.
Fair organizers have planned a wide range of events and activities for attendees, including youth livestock shows, daily live entertainment, and the return of the James E. Strates midway.
Acts including Robinson's Racing Pigs, The Fearless Flores Thrill Show, and the return of the Brad Matchett Hypnotist Show will entertain, as will performers including Them Sweeney Boys, the Agricadabra magic Show, The Hometowners, Fritzy Brothers One Man Circus, Guitar Dean, and the Rowdy Rooster all taking turns to bring the smiles to fairgoers.
Children are always a big part of the fair, and this year will see livestock shows for rabbits, poultry, goats, steer, swine, and more.  Creative arts entries from all ages will dot the fairgrounds, as will a wide variety of specialty food offerings.
“I am extremely proud of our team who have worked diligently over this past year to plan and produce Lake County’s largest, most anticipated, multi-day event,” Wade said.  “Let’s celebrate!”
