104th Lake County Fair Arrives

    The 104th edition of the Lake County Fair arrives on Friday, with the fairgrounds in Eustis coming to life for ten days of county fair fun. Featuring a large midway, livestock shows, and arts and crafts entries from Lake County residents, this year’s edition of the fair looks to entertain and educate people of all ages.
   Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for children ages 4 - 12, and free for children under the age of four. Armbands for unlimited riding are $30. On Monday, April 7, admission is $2, and rides that day will be $2 each. On Sunday, April 13, there will be a youth chili cookoff, one of many special events scheduled during the fair.
   Special entertainment is a fixture at the Lake County Fair, and this year will be no different, with a Cowboy Circus performing daily, a return of the Brad Matchett Comedy Hypnotist show, and this year sees the arrival of the Circus Incredible acrobat show. Additionally, the popular Robinson's Racing Pigs returns, joined by the first year of the Agri-Golf attraction.
   The youth livestock shows are a fixture at the fair, and this year will be no different. Here's this year's schedule: Steer Show - Friday, April 4, Poultry Show - Saturday, April 5, Market Steer Auction - Saturday, April 5, Rabbit Show - Sunday, April 6, Beef Breeding Show - Monday, April 7, Market Goat and Lamb Show, Goat Breeding Show - Tuesday, April 8, Market Lamb and market Goat Auction - Tuesday, April 8, Dairy Goat Show - Wednesday, April 9, Market Swine Show - Friday, April 11, Laying Hen Sale - Saturday, April 12, Market Swine Auction - Saturday, April 12, Youth Horse Show - Sunday, April 13.
   In between, fairgoers can experience a wide range of creative arts entries from Lake County residents young and old.
   This year's fair carries sponsorship from Vann Gannaway Chevrolet, RCM Utilities, United Southern Bank, Duke Energy, Crystal Tractor and Equipment, and UF Health, among dozens of other businesses, organizations, and individuals who have offered to help fund shows, awards, and more.
   The Lake County Fair is located in Eustis at the intersection of CR 44 and CR 452.
